Floor Coating FAQs
We coat residential concrete — garages, patios, porches, pool decks, basements, laundry rooms and interior floors. Residential work is all we take on right now.
Most garages are completed in a single day. Return to service is fast — our polyurea/polyaspartic systems cure quickly, so you're usually walking on the floor that evening and parking on it inside 24 to 48 hours.
Our MVB (moisture vapor barrier) base coat bonds deeper into the slab and stays more flexible than standard epoxy, which yellows in sunlight, is brittle under impact, and takes days to cure. Topped with our polyaspartic topcoat, the system is built for residential garage and patio floors.
We test every slab for moisture with a Wagner C555 moisture meter before coating. Where the application calls for it — kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas most often — we build on a moisture vapor barrier (MVB) base coat engineered to bond deeper into the slab and prevent delamination.
We repair all cracks, pitting, and spalling during our standard prep phase. For oil-saturated concrete (common in older garages), we use specialised degreasers and diamond grinding to achieve a clean, mechanically prepared profile. Proper prep is everything — we never skip it.
Pricing depends on surface condition, square footage, system specification, and site access. Every job is different — we provide free, itemized estimates so you know exactly what you're paying for before anything starts. Contact us for a no-obligation quote.
We are based in Tallahassee, FL and serve homeowners throughout North Florida — including Crawfordville, Quincy, Havana, Monticello, Midway, Chattahoochee, Sopchoppy, Panacea, and surrounding communities. Contact us to confirm we cover your area.
Yes. Every installation comes with a written 10-year warranty against delamination. Warranty terms vary by system and project scope — we'll detail this in your proposal. Our prep standards and material quality mean warranty claims are extremely rare.
When installed with proper mechanical prep, an MVB/polyaspartic system typically lasts 10–20+ years even in heavy-use environments. Residential garages can expect even longer lifespans with minimal maintenance. Our systems significantly outperform standard epoxy, which typically begins failing in 3–7 years under regular use.
Both. New concrete needs a proper cure period — typically 28 days minimum — before coating. We test moisture vapor emission and surface pH before proceeding. Existing floors in any condition — cracked, stained, oil-contaminated, or previously coated — can be assessed and coated after the appropriate surface preparation.
We build our floors with Xtreme Polishing Systems (XPS) coatings — a Florida-based manufacturer and supplier of polyaspartic, polyurea and epoxy floor systems. Flake, quartz and solid-colour floors get a UV-stable poly top coat; metallic floors are sealed with Rockhard T2000, a clear top coat made specifically for metallic finishes. Every slab is checked with a Wagner C555 moisture meter before any product goes down.
It depends on the room and the look you want. Flake is a 4-layer poly system and our most popular garage floor; most go down in a single day. Solid colour is a 3-layer system with a clean, uniform finish and the same one-day speed. Metallic is a 3-layer, hand-worked marbled finish, and quartz is a dense, textured 6-layer build; both take several days. We look at the slab at your free on-site estimate and recommend the system that fits it.
Yes. Alongside garages and interior floors, we coat patios, porches and pool decks. Every system is finished with a UV-stable poly top coat so it holds up in the Florida sun, and we moisture-test every slab with a Wagner C555 meter first. Outdoor areas are one of the places we most often build on a moisture vapor barrier (MVB) base coat.
